Personal Notes:

Cattle trader in Marburg and later trader in leather. Together with Isaak Strauss he compiled the "Anleitung zum Stammbaum der Familie Strauss" which is where most of the information here about Lob and his descendants is from. On the cover of this book, his address is noted as Bahnhofstrasse 24, Marburg. He added "A lot of information was lost when the synagogue of Schweinsberg and Niederklein burnt down. In spite of all the difficulties, I have not let myself become discouraged as I am certain that I am performing a service for all our descendants who, I am hopeful, will carry on keeping our genealogy up to date."
