Attended and completed high school in Brussels. Attended the Univerity du Travail in Charleroi where he studied for a university degree. Emigrated together with his parents. Joined the Canadian Armed Services out of gratitude for having allowed his family to settle there. Flight Lieutenant J/12564, 402 Sqdn., Royal Canadian Air Force - fighter pilot with the British Liberation Army. Went missing on 19 April 1945 above Berlin and has a symbolic grave in the British war cemetery in Berlin.
