She was named after her maternal great-grandmother, Gutele Heyum.
After her marriage she continued to live in Ladenburg and helped in her husband's family's store.
On 22 Oct 1940 she was sent to camp Gurs in France. From there she moved to Lanxon and on 28 Aug 1942 she was sent to Auschwitz.
