Played the violin as a child. Studied art at the Reimann Kunstschule and then sculpture at the Stadtlische Kunst Akademie in Berlin and in her lifetime created busts, bronzes and many paintings.
Lived in Paris 1933 to 1935. Emigrated to South Africa together with her brothers in 1935. After her father died she inherited his house at 128 hopkins Street in Johannesburg. Having suffered from Scelorederma for about five years, she contracted pneumonia and died of cardiac failure. There is a memorial plaque in her memory at Braamfontein Crematorium. |
